EMRS Fall Meeting 2026 at Warsaw University of Technology
From September 14 to 17, 2026, Warsaw University of Technology hosted the EMRS Fall Meeting for the 24th time, bringing together materials scientists from around the world. The international conference, organized by the European Materials Research Society (E-MRS), attracted more than 1,300 scientists from 56 countries this year.
The conference program included 25 parallel symposia covering various areas of modern materials science. The program also featured a plenary session and poster sessions, providing opportunities to present research findings and exchange knowledge and experience.
This year’s edition marked the 24th EMRS Fall Meeting held at Warsaw University of Technology and was another chapter in the University’s long-standing collaboration with the European Materials Research Society. The event also held special significance as part of the celebrations marking the 200th anniversary of Warsaw University of Technology. On this occasion, E-MRS President Giuseppina Padeletti presented Vice Rector of Warsaw University of Technology Prof. Mariusz Malinowski with a commemorative statuette as a token of appreciation for many years of fruitful collaboration.
The EMRS Fall Meeting is a major gathering of the European materials science community, providing opportunities to present research findings, exchange knowledge and establish and develop scientific collaborations.
At Warsaw University of Technology, the EMRS Fall Meeting has been organized for many years by a team led by Prof. Małgorzata Lewandowska, who has also served as Vice President of the European Materials Research Society (E-MRS) since 2025.
