Faculty

The Faculty of Materials Science and Engineering of the Warsaw University of Technology is a leading research and teaching centre in the field of materials science and engineering both in Poland and in the world. In 2018, in the parametric evaluation of research units, conducted by the Research Units Evaluation Committee, the Faculty of Materials Science and Engineering was awarded the A+ category, which certifies its high level of research.

Research done at the Faculty is connected with the main trends of modern materials science. The Faculty specialises in interdisciplinary research covering physics, chemistry, biology and medicine. The conducted work concentrates on the links between macro-, micro- and nanostructure, and properties of materials used in various branches of the industry, i.a., in aviation, power engineering, medicine and environmental protection.
