Julia Kosińska was among the winners of the "25 under 25" competition, which recognizes talented and ambitious people under the age of 25.

Julia Kosińska, who was awarded in the Sustainable Development and Climate category, is a natural science enthusiast. She co-developed a continuous reactor with a photocatalyst while still in high school, which was utilized to clear water of organic contaminants such as pharmaceuticals and their residues. The CLEAR project has been awarded many times, among others, in the E(x)plory and EUCYS competitions and the Technical Innovation and Inventiveness Contest (Olimpiada Innowacji Technicznych i Wynalazczości).

Julia carries on her high school idea at college. Together with Mateusz Malikowski, she develops and tests new photocatalysts to be used in the reactor. Our student also works in the Scientific Circle of the Faculty of Materials Science and Engineering "Wakans" (she is its vice-president) and in the Students' Council (she belongs to the Faculty Council, last year she was a delegate to the Didactic Committee, and now she is a delegate to the Cultural Committee). Julia also participates in the "Masters of Didactics" program, which has led to her involvement in a new project, also related to ecology.

The "25 under 25" competition is organized by "Forbes" magazine and the Warsaw office of McKinsey & Company. The goal of the project is to select 25 ambitious people under the age of 25 who wish to change the socioeconomic face of Poland. This year, the list was prepared for the fourth time. The full list of award winners is available on the "Forbes" and McKinsey & Company websites.
