The Materials Engineering discipline at the Warsaw University of Technology received an A+ scientific category in the latest stage of Poland's national research quality evaluation. The results were announced by the Minister of Science and Higher Education on 22 July 2026.

The A+ category is the highest rating awarded within the national research quality evaluation system. It is granted to institutions conducting research at the highest level, whose achievements stand out for their scientific excellence and their impact on the advancement of science and the economy. The award of the A+ category is preceded by an additional expert assessment.

This achievement is the result of the collective efforts of the entire Faculty community, which represents more than 90% of all individuals at the University declaring research activity in this discipline, including academic staff, doctoral candidates, and employees supporting research activities. It confirms the high quality of the research conducted, the Faculty's success in securing competitive research funding, its collaboration with national and international partners, and its commitment to advancing the field of materials engineering.
