A+ scientific category
The Faculty of Materials Science and Engineering at the Warsaw University of Technology has been awarded the highest scientific category, A+, in the field of Materials Engineering in the latest stage of Poland's national research quality evaluation. The results were announced by the Minister of Science and Higher Education on 22 July 2026.
The A+ category is the highest rating awarded within the national research quality evaluation system. It is granted to institutions conducting research at the highest level, whose achievements stand out for their scientific excellence and their impact on the advancement of science and the economy. The award of the A+ category is preceded by an additional expert assessment.
This achievement reflects the dedication of the entire Faculty community—researchers, doctoral students, and staff supporting research activities. It recognizes the high quality of the Faculty's research, success in securing competitive research funding, collaboration with national and international partners, and commitment to advancing materials engineering.
