Two Decades of Scientific Collaboration at the Dresden Lightweight Engineering Symposium

Prof. Anna Boczkowska during her speech

On June 18, 2026, Prof. Anna Boczkowska delivered a presentation at the 29th International Dresden Lightweight Engineering Symposium - one of Europe’s leading events dedicated to lightweight structures, advanced materials, and modern engineering technologies.

As part of the plenary session “Sustainable. Systemic. Competitive. – Approaches for a New European Technology Alliance,” our Dean presented “Synergies and Additional Value Through Interdisciplinary and International Cooperation of Universities of Technology,” highlighting the role of collaboration among technical universities in fostering innovative research and educational ecosystems.

This year’s participation was particularly meaningful. Prof. Anna Boczkowska first attended the Dresden Lightweight Engineering Symposium in 2006, and her continued involvement reflects two decades of scientific cooperation and strong academic ties between the research communities of Warsaw and Dresden. Her plenary presentation provided an opportunity to share experiences and perspectives gained through this long-standing collaboration.
