Divisions

There are four  divisions within our Faculty:

  • Division of Surface Engineering
  • Division of Ceramic Materials and Polymers
  • Division of Structural and Functional Materials
  • Division of Materials Design

Division of Surface Engineering

The Division of Surface Engineering has successfully developed unconventional methods for surface modification of materials, including producing multi-compound and composite surface layers with nanocrystalline structure.

Division of Ceramic Materials and Polymers

The current development of “non-metallic” materials makes it necessary to expand research on ceramic materials and polymers.

Division of Structural and Functional Materials

The research area of the Division of Structural and Functional Materials focuses on designing and characterization of metallic and non-metallic structural and functional materials.

Division of Materials Design

Research carried out in the Division of Materials Design focuses on the relationship between the structure and properties of materials in the context of microstructure optimization, control of properties, designing and manufacturing new materials, as well as operational degradation of materials.
